Established in 1989 Wood Park is a family-owned vineyard and winery in the King Valley. Wood Park draws on grapes sources from within the diverse micro-climates of the King Valley and adjoining valley’s and uses a mix of traditional and modern winemaking techniques.
Wood Park – The Tuscan is a blend of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Colorino and Petit Verdot, and all grown on the estate and inspired by the Tuscan wines of Italy.
A vibrant and juicy wine with red berry fruit and fine tannin with a rich lingering finish.
All grown within the Wood Park home block the varieties are harvested separately and all fermented in 3 tonne open fermenters and regularly hand plunged, helping bring out the vibrant color. The wines were transferred to seasoned oak barrels for 22 months and blended prior to bottling. This style was inspired by the super Tuscans of Italy.
