The Piano Piano Henrys Block Shiraz has classic cool climate pepper and spice, with cherry and some darker berry aromas. The palate has elegant red berries flavour, spice, richness and an integrated oak finish. The fine chalky tannins add structure to this elegant wine.
A fine Shiraz, it will bring something special to a dinner party or family celebration, or would make a great gift and will age beautifully. Definitely one to linger over.
Pair with a meaty poultry dish, with red or game meats that are slow roasted or with slowly braised mushroom dishes.
Henry's Block is situated on the family vineyard in the Beechworth hills. The site was specifically chosen for it's North East aspect, altitude of 400m and decomposed granite soil over a rich clay base. ‘Piano piano’ means ‘slowly slowly’ in Italian, and the time and care taken by Marc Scalzo and Lisa Hernan have taken in developing their wines, can be tasted in every bottle.
