Refosco is a rare varietal in Australia, only made by two wineries, one of them being Bike & Barrel in the Alpine Valley.
From a family of Italian varietals, Refosco is grown mainly in the North of Italy and makes deeply coloured, medium-bodied reds.
With a rich tannin, depth, big palate and vibrant colour the Refosco is a good food accompanying wine which pairs with light to medium rich foods.
The 2015 release has aged beautifully and the tannins have softened making this rare drop an interesting and tasty wine to compliment cured meats, and medium rich dishes
