Backwoods Distilling Co. is a family business brought about by a love of whisky, science and craftiness. Mashing, fermenting, distilling, maturing and bottling all happens at the craft distillery in Yackandandah, in the beautiful Victorian High Country.
HIGH COUNTRY GIN // Two distillation methods are applied to create the High Country Gin. Traditional botanicals are macerated and boiled and a vapour-infused method is used to flavour with Australian botanicals.
Juniper, coriander, cardamom, angelica root, orris root and pepper berry, strawberry gum, peppermint gum, wattle seed, lemon myrtle are used to create a unique Australian gin, which was recently recognised on the world stage, receiving a silver medal at the prestigious London Spirits Competition 2021.
SALTED LIME GIN // Inspired by some favourite flavours of the Australian botanical landscape, the Salted Lime Gin was created with two unique varieties of Australian lime, along with pink river salt from the Murray River. This gin highlights fresh juniper with a zesty lime pallet and a mildly salty finish.
Enioy with tonic or soda and a lime wedge, ir use as a base to mix up a martini or gin margarita.
