Dal Zotto Estate was established in the King Valley in 1987, and brought cool-climate wine varietals from the north of Italy to Australia. Notably Otto Dal Zotto is credited as one of the pioneers of Australian Prosecco. A family business that lives by the values of family, tradition and innovation.
A rich, vibrant red the Dal Zotto Sangiovese 2019 has a vibrant mouth feel with touches of chocolate and cherry. It has the aroma of floral and plum and a lingering acidic finish.
Pair with rich tomato dishes, of course with hearty Italian fair, or with robust meats and a bit of char.
Halliday Wine Companion 2022 awarded the Sangiovese 2019 90 points:
‘Cherry red in hue and boasting cherry-infused aromas together with bright red berries and layers of spice, this sangiovese is super-fresh and ready to go. The palate is crisp and delicious with red licorice, dark spice and a light herbal influence. Easygoing tannins all the way.’ Jeni Port - James Halliday Wine Companion 2022
